Dog Calming for Storms & Travel
A product can be one part of a calming plan, but timing, environment, conditioning and the severity of your dog's distress matter too.
For storms
Create a predictable safe area, reduce startling sound/light where practical, and introduce any product according to its label before the stressful event when directions call for advance use.
For travel
Practice short carrier or car sessions when possible, keep familiar bedding or cues available, and avoid introducing multiple new interventions at once if that makes it hard to tell what your dog tolerates.
When to call a vet: Severe panic, escape attempts, self-injury, vomiting, breathing difficulty or persistent anxiety deserve professional assessment rather than relying only on an over-the-counter calming product.
